Website Island Grown Initiative Ltd.
The Kitchen Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the Island Grown Initiative Kitchen — a program at the heart of IGI’s food access work. You’ll oversee a dynamic operation that provides nutritious, locally sourced meals for community members facing food insecurity, and you’ll do it in collaboration with a committed team of staff, volunteers, and partners.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines culinary skill, logistical coordination, and genuine care for our island community. If you love running a kitchen, mentoring volunteers, and knowing that your work feeds people who need it most, this role was made for you.
This is a working kitchen role. The Kitchen Manager is an active, hands-on presence in the kitchen every day — cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, and doing whatever it takes to keep operations running smoothly. Leadership here means leading by example, not from the sidelines.
